Do you enjoy leading the church in passionate sung worship that glorifies Jesus and leads people to encounter Him? Are you passionate about raising up and nurturing young worship leaders and worship teams? Do you have a heart to communicate the good news of the Gospel and celebrate what Jesus is doing through His church in the digital world? Are you passionate about seeing the church worship Jesus out in the community, seeing people become Jesus’ disciples? Then we’d love you to apply to be our Worship and Creative Pastor.

St. Luke’s Maidstone is a charismatic evangelical Anglican church who are part of the Soul Survivor Family of churches (https://www.soulsurvivorfamilyofchurches.com) and with strong links to New Wine. Our vision is to be a church family who passionately live for Jesus and love one another, leading to transformed lives and communities.

Description of the job

This role is twofold in that it incorporates leading the church in sung worship and making Jesus known in the digital sphere. It’s worship in person and online. We’re looking for someone…

  • with a passion for leading the church in vibrant sung worship and who has the experience, musical gifts and skills to develop and build worship teams.
  • who loves Jesus and loves seeing the whole church young and old worship Him.
  • who has experience in effectively communicating and engaging with people online through social media platforms and YouTube.
  • who is very much at home leading worship in an evangelical charismatic church and has experience of growing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

This is a new staff role and builds on the great work of our volunteer worship team leader at St. Luke’s over many years. The role will require elements of building on the existing worship team and pioneering creative ways to worship Jesus both inside and outside the church in our community and online. You will be joining a small dynamic team with a heart to reach people with Gospel and seeing disciples making disciples.
