Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 8:17-18
17 Do not say to yourself, ‘My power and the might of my own hand have gained me this wealth.’
18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, so that he
may confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors, as he is doing today.
Thought:
Building God’s Kingdom is supernatural! All the resources come from God. My life, your life is a
gift from God. Time, talents and treasure, all God given. The best investment we can make in
building God’s Kingdom is our availability, spending time listening to Him, asking how we
should use the resources He gives us, surrendering the plans that we make and asking Him to
multiply what we contribute. He can do abundantly more than we ask or imagine, sometimes we
dream too small and don’t leave room for the supernatural generosity of Father God.
For Prayer:
- Lord help us to remember that all resources come from you, may we be good stewards of
time, talents and treasure. - Would we be a Church renowned for generosity. ‘Freely you have received, freely give;’ An
outward sign of the great riches we have through a relationship with the living God. (Matt 10.8) - We pray for an increase in the overall church income, through our monthly giving, so that we
might cover necessary costs for ministry and give more away to mission work locally and
abroad. - We pray for the building project finances, and for favour in grant applications.
- Show us your glory Lord, we anticipate your supernatural provision. Amen.
