Bible Reading: Proverbs 4: 5-6
5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.
Thought:
There are many conflicts in the world: Middle East, Ukraine, Sudan for starters. The news will tell
you what the current focus is for prayer. Peace and an end to suffering are clear objectives,
which require conflict resolution. It is also important to seek God’s will in each situation and pray
for leaders in the middle of these conflicts. As Northern Ireland showed it needs people with
wisdom and courage to reach across divides.
For Prayer:
Ask God for wisdom about what to pray today and for wisdom and courage for those people
amidst these situations seeking a positive way forward.
